In Oz: The Spirit Of Things

So Isis Pina really did it, and she reaches for the stars with this one. What a challenge, but: What a girl!
How did she put it in words?

"I have decided to breathe photography everyday for a year.. Trying to let my thoughts fly away from the box I call my mind.
It's going to be hard.. But I am just going to let everything flow along the journey."

Mind may matter, but intuition is everything. And she really breathes it, is passionate about it, and 'cause she reaches for the stars she'll surely get some of them. Her words are as poetic as her first photograph in this series, and because everything is in the flow we need to be visionary to catch the spirit of things. Once I wrote about a girl called Mirella in a strange story about odd and adventurous things happening in a jungle very close to our world. I think Isis must have been there.


Let me say it honest and straight from the heart: I admire not only your beauty, but first and foremost your courage and your vision. I think you'll accomplish great things in this year, capturing moments you'll never forget. Most of the time you will be inspired, because it's in your blood, and sometimes you may struggle. But watching your body language in this first picture I know there's power in you from head to toe, and this power will be with you.
