THE ART WARRIORS
- About the beginning of a new revolution -
* An escalation by Beau Cyphre *
Keep your art free! Don't diss yourself with watermarks, don't shrink your vision - and don't fear the illusion of art theft.
Just wrote it down in my Twitter as another stroke, and this sword's sharp enough to make you think. All art is about sharing, and what I get is what I give: Everything's in the flow, and it's time to give up the illusion of personal importance. I'm not saying you're dispensable. I think you're better as a living and responding part of all the energy floating inside and outside of ourselves. We're all dead now, and to live we need to transcend the barriers we put up all the time. There's freedom outside the borders, and the sight to a far away horizon leads just to another and another illusional horizon.
Real life is endless, and we're all made to travel really far. We've come a long way, and sometimes we feel so bad that we want to give up, but then we feel the power within and stick to our vision, trying to manifest the myriad of colors of life.
Heads we're dancing, and sharing our kisses is like sharing our breath: We do it all the time, and we do it worldwide. This thing is universal, and there's really nothing that belongs just to ourselves.
"But I need to live! I need to make money with my art!"
Yes, you can hear them all scream now, and these are the voices of the dead. Ask Leonardo if his art belongs to him, ask Michelangelo. There's nothing we can own, and we're just out of control if we try to do so. But if we let go and if we're becoming able to share our visions, there's never been greater inspiration than this.
This is for all the artists who have a wild dream, who try to do something special with their art - for those who live and feel the sense of a real worldwide community.
So do you wanna join the Art Warriors? Just put down your watermarks, let your art shine and share your soul with all of us. The revolution has just begun.
Evolution:
This is for all the artists who have a wild dream, who try to do something special with their art - for those who live and feel the sense of a real worldwide community.
With the additional sentence it's clear now that there's more to come than art without watermarks, people with no fear of "art theft". The WARRIORS are some special kind of guys, they believe in the things they do, and more than that they believe in beauty. They communicate the world they live in, and they really appreciate words straight from the heart. The ART WARRIORS try to be not too self-centered in the things they're doing, they give and get inspiration, therefore becoming divine muses of THE ART itself.
THE WARRIORS are active members of the deviantART-Community, but their first goal is far from getting popular. Popularity may come along the way, but it's more a challenge than a gift because they're aware that art's much too soon corrupted by the attention of "the too many".
They believe more in commenting than giving "favs", and they are eager to give something back to all the other artists that inspire them. So love is a circle, and sharing the ART means sharing the WORD, and in metaphors we dance now.
Peace and be wild! **

art nowadays truly needs a revoltion like this!
I completely agree. This way, the artist sets the image free, allowing it to live organically with the rest of the world. It engenders a sense of detachment and less room for pride.
After all, all beauty in art is a reflection of the beauty of our Creator. It doesn't really "belong" to us at all.
In response to the cries of "But I need to live! I need to make money with my art!" an internal monologue we've all had I'm sure...I think it's the same with downloading/buying music:
If you love it enough - buy a print? Simply communicate with the artist? And help share their work?
To celebrate the fact that art brings us all together, I think we need to let go of ourselves as "The Artist" to some extent.
I like this: The ART WARRIORS try to be not too self-centered in the things they're doing, they give and get inspiration, therefore becoming divine muses of THE ART itself.
Good stuff!
